Kabuwanan sa Cubao X

Like a runaway groom doing a late-but-not-quite decision, design and photos came into us almost like roadkill that was witnessed by a few. Good thing it hit us hard enough to get our lazy asses off our seats. But no one heard the sound of the blow to make people care about the murder.

Our early days were comprised of long late night hang-outs with different groups of friends, in different sorts of places, with different sorts of God knows what kind of booze served in front of us. These are often spiced up with comrades bursting their smoke-smelling throats into songs by Urbandub, Up Dharma Down and Taken by Cars.

But all of our late nights are not only spent trying to spell s-o-b-e-r properly or listening to the melancholic tunes of Jeff Buckley, we also meet in a common ground where visions and daydreams materialize.

We are aware that the undertow is just waiting, holding up for the perfect timing to eat us. But we also know that if we become mindful of the tide, we will be able to ride the wave smoothly, and perhaps be noticed by the others.
